Saggy chubby cheeks
Jul 11, 2001
Hello there i am from England, i find your website and information
very interesting, i hope you can help me. I am 22yrs old, i weigh 75kg/11.5 stone
and am 5'11 tall. I am very slim build but i have very fat saggy chubby cheeks.
When i was younger in my school days between 12-18 years old i was always fat and had very
chubby cheeks. When i finished school and started work plenty of excerise like swimming,
football etc, i lost about 2-3 stone 10-20kg.
I am very happy with my body apart from my face, i seem to of kept most of the chubbyness
in my cheeks, but now seem more saggy. You could say i have baby face, but i can almost
push about 1inch of cheek in before i touch my cheek bone
My question is, are there any guides/information you can offer to help remove, reduce, or
what do you suggest? Thanks very much
Hi Tony
Sorry to say, but you can't spot reduce areas of fat. If you've lost
this weight within the last year, you may still need to give your body time to adjust to
such an enormous amount of wt. loss. Twenty kg. is a tremendous amount to lose, so
congratulations there.
At 22, your body should adjust and reabsorb any loose skin that you may have.
Facial exercises will help to tone and firm the face for you. And
really, you're at the best age to get started. Also don't despair too much yet. Although
you may have full cheeks now, as we age, we tend to slim down in the face. This has
probably more to do with damage to the connective tissue of the face from sun exposure
than anything else.
There are cosmetic procedures that reduce the buccal fat pads of the face as well. This
has a dramatic effect of slimming down the face.
Regardless, I would still recommend that you wear a sunblock everyday of at least spf 30.
Although you may not be thinking about it now, you can have a healthy, vibrant looking
face between doing facial exercises and protecting your skin from exposure if you start
NOW.
Good luck!

How to get my face
thinner Jun 4,
2001
Hello My name is Rob and i am only 17 years old but at one time i was really heave and now
i'm about 5'10 168lbs and still trying to loose some weight. But i really want to get my
face
thinner and I thought the more weight i lost the thinner it would get but is there any
other way i can get it thinner besides weight loss, or anything that will make it look
thinner. Please give me some help, thanks!
Hi Rob
Continued wt. loss is about the only thing you can do, unless you consider cosmetic
surgery to remove excess fat. Also depending upon how quickly and when you lost the
excess fat, depends on
when the body will catch up and tighten up loose skin. You sound wt appropriate for your
height, so you may just need to give your body time. Considering your young age, your body
will still be
going through some changes until you reach your early twenties.
I don't think facial exercises at this point will do anything to make your face thinner
and at your age your tone should be excellent. Continue your wt loss program until you
reach your ideal wt for your build and height and then allow your body to continue to
grow. As we reach full maturity and beyond, our faces have a tendency to naturally slim
down, so don't be too discouraged yet.
Jason
Hi Sue
You can't spot reduce areas of fat through exercises alone. Some
kind of wt loss program is needed. In your case, you may be genetically prone to carry
either more wt in your face or your face may be more oval in shape giving you the
appearance of a chubby face.
Buccal fat can be removed to slim down the cheeks when all else fails if this is where you
are carrying wt. Often times as we age, excessive wt in the face becomes less a
problem, provided
that you're not overwt. to begin with.

Fuller face or
thinner face? Apr 4, 2001
Hi Jason,
I've been flexing for almost a year now and it seems that my face has become thinner
(weight is the same). I was wondering if the exercises tend to slim down one's face
or fill it out. I read somewhere that muscles take up less space then fat and
therefore, gives the appearance of being thinner.
my face was very thin and 'gaunt' BF
(before flexing)..my face is definitely fuller..either that or it has 'lifted' where it
gives the appearance of full cheeks that I NEVER had, even when I was 12! I realize
you cannot change the shape of your face you were born with...but you sure can make some
major adjustments! enhancements!..and overall pleasing results.
I was thinking: perhaps you just have a
thin face naturally and building the muscle has strengthened your 'inner structure' (don;t
know exactly what to call it)..inner structure sounds good. A thin face is extremely
attractive..makes you seem 'chisled' and elegant. Are you unhappy with it? or
see
definite strengths and build?.....and often it takes longer than a year to see optimal
response in specific targeted areas.
Ellen
When the muscles are more relaxed or sagging, the face can appear fuller. After building
and tightening the muscles through exercise, your face may appear somewhat thinner in some
areas and
a little fuller in others as the muscles hug closer to bone structure. After a year you
should notice areas that have built and others that while may seem thinner, are much
tighter, like the lower cheek area. The best thing to do is to look at pictures of
yourself before you started flexing and compare them with pictures you take now. It will
give you a more objective view of the changes you've been able to make.
Jason
Hi Jason, Sadie, Jean,
Thanks for your responses-it's so great to get feedback. The lower cheek area is
exactly where it seems thinner. Perhaps because my upper cheek area is fuller and
more lifted. Actually, I'm not unhappy with it at all--it's just a different look
then I'm used to. I'm still seeing changes so I know I'm a work in progress.
Help! Dec 21, 2000
hello. I just want to commend you for all of your help to so many people. My
problem is this. What do I do if I want to get a thinner face? Your program
seems to develop more muscle, as well as more mass to the face. I want less mass. I
have chubby cheeks, and I want thin cheeks. Should I use a facial stimulator?
Certain exercises? Please let me know what product (s) I should use, or if I
need to use certain exercises. thank you,
aaron

FlexEffect will not help you lose weight in the face. If you have muscle atrophy, it can
help to tighten the face giving it a thinner appearance; however, if it is more a question
of adipose tissue, only a wt loss program will give you a slimmer face. This is true
whether you're body building or facial building.

facial fat Jul 23, 2000
hi I'm 15 and I was just wondering if there were any special exercises to get rid of what
I like to call "the chubby cheek disease" thank you

Hi Jarred
Unfortunately facial exercising
cannot spot reduce areas of fat. In fact if you exercise these areas you might actually
increase, in your case, the chubby look.
At 15 years of age, however, you may still have some excess fat in your face simply due to
your young age. As you continue through puberty, a lot of that chubbiness may be lost. So
don't despair yet.
Good luck,

facial toning
June 24, 1999
First of all i would like to thank you
for creating such a great site, i had no idea that facial toning even existed. I am
ordering your book via internet, but until i receive it are there any exercise you could
recommend that would tone and cause me to lose weight in the facial area? Maybe in the
cheek area (my cheeks are chubby), and decrease puffiness in eye area.
Thanks
I'm sorry to say you can not spot reduce
any area of the face. but you can spot build. Scroll down to "Give me more"and
read answer. Exercise: Wink-Adv. will give
the face a slimmer look by building (raising) the muscles over the cheekbone area. As for
your lower lids...scroll down to "Dark Circles" you'll find some information
there.
I HAVE BEEN WORKING OUT FOR 4 MONTHS NOW,
MY GOAL IS TO GET IN SHAPE. I AM NOT OUT OF SHAPE, AND FOR MOST THE PART I FEEL STRONGER
AND MORE CONFIDENT ABOUT WHAT I CAN DO BUT FOR SOME REASON, I CAN'T LOOSE MY FACIAL FAT.
NO MATTER WHAT I DO, PEOPLE TELL ME THAT IT WILL HAPPEN AFTER I HAVE BEEN WORKING OUT FOR
SOME TIME, BUT I DON'T SEE NO DIFFERENCE, AND I WANT THE ANSWER SO I CAN ACHIEVE THIS
GOAL.
What you've been told is true.
Bodybuilding, facialbuilding, weight loss, It all takes time. From what I gather you are
doing weight resistance training? Be sure to incorporate aerobics ... 30 minutes 5
days a week. (walk away from your house for 15 min. then turn around and walk back)
Building muscle will not spot reduce any area of the face or any other part of the
body. It is true by building the muscle, you will burn more fat (bigger engine burns
more gas) but you need to add aerobics if it's not coming off in the time you feel is
ample. (two pounds a week) Keeping in mind, when you first start lifting, you will
more than likely see (weight gain) on the scale. Muscle out-weights fat. So
don't let it scare you. In time the scale will start to see things your way!

Face improvement May 18, 1999
First of all thanks for putting up such a
great site. I am a male 32 yr. and have average build I am not slender but I am not fat
either( 5-5/135lbs FAT?). I got interested in your site because lately I have been
concerned about
A) double chin/sagging chin
B) puffy cheeks giving my face a perfect round look
( I think my side pose photos are horrible)
C) I have a short thick neck.
As I told you that even though I am not fat but due to sagging chin , very puffy cheeks ,
short neck
my face really looks very fat when I look at myself in the mirror sideways. I think my
face looks ok from front.
What should I do to improve? Is it enough to do some of the help you have provided
in here or should I perform couple of exercises. Lately I have been running on treadmill
thinking
maybe my facial looks will improve If I loose couple of pounds? Another question does
chewing gum results in some muscle resistance? I know I can't be tom cruise look a like ,
all I want
is a normal flat face. Is it possible through your video and whatever??
facial improvement

This is CM again , just wanted to add
that I guess I am not concerned with wrinkles or lines on my face or even the glow. All I
want is a little improvement in facials. Will cheek lift help?
thanks
CM
Facialbuilding will not slim down the
face (no such thing as spot reducing) but you can spot build! The treadmill sounds like
the way to go if you are carrying a lot of weight in the face. However, by building
the muscles that rest on top of the cheekbones you can give the elusion of higher
cheekbones causing the face to look slimmer. Also you said you consider your neck to be
too thick. Even though HEAD LIFT adds thickness to the neck it also elongates
the neck. Stand in front of a mirror. Keeping your head level,
stretch your neck raising your head as high as you can. Put as much
distance between your ears and shoulders as possible...does this help? If so, scroll
down to "extra help" and start doing the exercise I described. As soon as
the muscles gain in strength the head will set higher picking up
a lot of slack. Don't worry, you will get the benefit of your neck
elongating (as much as it's going to) long before it builds in thickness.
For the cheekbone area... scroll down to
Give me more"Give it a week and let me know what you think. If you find the cheek
area gaining the effect your looking for, get back to me (e-mail) and I'll send you
extra material. Thanks much.
